The first estimate is calculated on your machine while the file uploads privately for independent server verification at checkout.

    Your browser reads the mesh itself — volume, surface area, overhangs, wall thickness — and tells you straight away if something will not print well.

    Tune it, watch the number move

    Material, colour, layer height, infill, quantity. Every change re-estimates in the same instant, with no request sent anywhere.

  3. 03

    Check out — we print and deliver

    The server re-measures the uploaded file before accepting the order. Contact, payment, production and delivery are then confirmed for that order.

Five materials, no guesswork

Each one is estimated from its own AED material cost and machine time — not a flat per-gram rate with a guess on top.

PLA

FDM

Stiff, crisp detail, lowest cost. The default for prototypes, models and anything that lives indoors.

Tougher than PLA and shrugs off heat and humidity — the sensible pick for functional parts in a Gulf summer.

How can the estimate be instant?

Because nothing waits on a human. The browser measures your mesh and runs the same model we bill from. When you check out, the server downloads the file you uploaded, re-measures it and re-costs it from scratch — so the number you saw is the number you pay, and it was never taken on trust.

What happens to my file?

It goes to private storage the moment you drop it, so checkout has something to verify against. Nothing is public, download links are signed and short-lived, and uploads that never turn into an order are deleted on a schedule. Need an NDA first? Write to orders@imhotep-lab.com.

What if my model has problems?

You will know before you pay. We flag meshes that are not watertight, walls too thin to survive the nozzle, parts that exceed the build volume, and files that look like they were exported in the wrong units.

How long does delivery take?

The estimate derives a provisional lead time from print hours, configured queue time and configured shipping time. We confirm production and delivery details after the order is submitted.

Can I order dozens of the same part?

Yes, and the price per unit drops as the quantity goes up — the discount is built into the estimate, not something you have to ask for.
